The 3 days tour in akagera national park will take you to one of Africa’s beautiful savannah grassland and woodland where the large number of aquatic biodiversity found in entire Africa. Day 1: Pick-up from airport - Kigali Night Life Experience

Up on arrival at Kigali international airport/ at the hotel you meet with our professional driver guide who welcomes and provide you with full information of the country and the city of Kigali. After briefing you he will take you in Kigali night city tour where you will visit many place in Kigali city such as shopping malls, art craft centers then transfer you to your the hotel

Day 2: Short Game Drive- Boat Safari at Lake Ihema

Early morning after breakfast our driver guide will transfer you ta akagera national park. After reaching to akagera you do short game drive in different part of the park you experience both aquatic and terrestrial animal like largest mammals on land in the world (African elephant) and tallest animal on land in the world (Masai Giraffe). You will spot many attractive games like zebras, antelopes, hippos, crocodiles and so on. After the experience you go the lodge for lunch and nap while preparing you for afternoon boat safari.

Afternoon you will visit Lake Ihema for enjoying boat trip where you experience hippos and crocodiles socializing in their ecological habitat. You experience more about marine ecosystem while enjoy beautiful bird song and the sun set. 

Day 3: Long Game Drive- transfer back to Kigali

Morning after breakfast at lodge you do long game drive where you access the whole park from south to the north. This day provide you with a great opportunity of experiencing members of big five animals. Big five animals are animals most people want to see when the visit akagera national park. Big five animals includes Elephant, buffalo, lion, black rhinoceros and leopard. After experiencing extraordinary attraction you drive back to Kigali and have some stop at Imigongo art and craft center for experiencing Rwandan culture and traditions and shopping then continue to Kigali for night flight.

Day1: Pick-up from airport/hotel- Kigali city tour- Transfer to Akagera

Up on arrival in morning you meet with our professional driver guide who will take you to Kigali city tour. Kigali city tour includes visiting Kigali genocide memorial, Campaign against genocide museum, Nyamirambo women center and Nyandungu wetland Eco Park. After lunch at Nyandungu Wetland Eco Park our driver guide will take you to akagera national park. At akagera national park you enjoy boat safari while enjoy the interaction of aquatic animals in Lake Ihema and enjoy sun set with beautiful birdsongs.

Day2: Short game drive- Night game drive

Morning after breakfast at your lodge you do short game drive. During game drive our professional driver guide will take you to different parts of parks such as swamps and lakes, open savannah, woodland, and hills. You enjoy spectacular view of stunning savannah and panoramic land scape of lowland savannah and more diurnal animals like hippos, warthogs, antelopes, zebra, primates, and members of big five animals like Elephant, buffalo, lion, black rhino. After experiencing wildlife our driver guide takes you back to the lodge for lunch and nap preparing you for night game drive.

During the evening hours you will enjoy night game drive starting from 17:00Pm where you will enjoy sun set and beautiful bird species going back to their nests with nice songs. You experience nocturnal animals such leopard, lion, spotted hyena while hunting. After the experience you back to the lodge for night sleep.

Day3: Transfer to Volcanoes national park – Visiting Red Rocks village

Morning after late breakfast and check-in at lodge, you drive from akagera to Musanze for primate trekking. You have stopover at Kigali for lunch in on of luxury restaurant then continue our tour to Musanze. Musanze is famous touristic town in Rwanda. You reach at this town after drive through the high mountains and hills with spectacular view of tea plantation and different crops. When reaching at beautiful town located at the base of the chain of volcanoes you start to enjoy nice view of the volcanoes and nice atmosphere. You visit Red Rocks village approximately 20 minutes’ drive from the town. You enjoy different cultural experience such bask weaving, banana beer preparation, and Rwandan traditional dance. After experience driver guide will take you to your Eco lodge in Kinigi for overnight.

Day 4: Mountain Gorilla Trekking- Visiting Twin Lake (Burera and Ruhondo)

After early morning breakfast at your lodge while driver guide waiting to take you at park head quarter you drive towards to the park reception center in Kinigi. You take briefing regarding to gorilla trekking by sight guide. After registration you will be allocated to one of 10 groups of habituated mountain gorilla depending on your fitness level as trekking mountain gorilla required to go deeper in the forest and somehow challenging because of working in bushes and muddy soil. You will have time to hire porters. Then our guide will take you to the point of entrance to trek the family of mountain gorilla you supposed to visit.

Trekking mountain gorilla is enjoyable activities as you watch and enjoy gorilla breastfeeding baby like human, watching gorilla leaping up and down in the branches of trees, and moving around while grooming and feeding. You may spend a whole day while enjoy these majestic critically endangered species. While watching mountain gorilla follow the instruction from your guide, stay calm and show respect.

After experiencing gorilla family driver guide will be there waiting to take you back to the lodge for lunch and shower. You will have rest while waiting to visit Twin Lake. Late afternoon driver guide will take you to Twin Lake where you enjoy different activities, such as kayaking, boating, swimming, depending on your wishes. You enjoy sunset at My Hill Eco Lodge while enjoying a cool breeze of the lake and enjoying Rwandan coffee while mingling with colleagues. After the experience you back to the lodge for overnight.

Day 5: Golden Monkey Trekking – drive back to Kigali

After early breakfast at your lodge drive back to the park head quarter to register for golden monkey trekking. You go through to the previous steps the same as on mountain gorilla. Golden monkey is also critically endangered primates we have in Rwanda. Visiting golden monkey is the best experiencing as you enjoy them leaping up and down on bamboo trees and their socializing while feeding fruits and bamboo shoots is so engrossing activities. After the experience driver will take you back to the lodge for lunch and shower then transfer you back to Kigali. You will have time for shopping in Kigali then driver drop you to the airport or you hotel if you stay anther days.

Day 1: Transfer to Akagera National Park & Boat Cruise tour on Lake Ihema

After a relaxed breakfast, the hope tours driver guide will pick you up at your hotel, give a short briefing on your safari, and then drive to the eastern part of Rwanda to Akagera National Park (2h30), passing through Rwanda’s otherworldly landscapes and living styles. Arriving at the park, you will head to the park headquarters for registration and briefing, then proceed to your lodge for check-in and lunch. In the afternoon, you will be transferred to Lake Ihema for the 2hrs boat cruise, where you will get a chance to spot some crocodiles, hippos, and other wildlife that ramble near the lake shores.

Day 2: Akagera Game Drive experience & return to Kigali
